CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA: "Armed and Dangerous" Jacob Henson wanted by police after alleged violent crime wave

25-year-old Jacob Henson is wanted by Cherokee County, GA police after a violent, armed crime spree injured two victims and resulted in two vehicle thefts, with one stolen SUV totaled in a collision with a tree.

Police are warning that if members of the public encounter Henson, they should avoid contact or a confrontation with the violent criminal.

"We ask the public to please use caution. He has guns. Don't approach him. If you see him, call 911," said Sgt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

Don't be his next victim.

GRETNA, LA: "Career Criminal" Damone Ussin allegedly stabs girlfriend 29 times in front of her infant son

41-year-old Damone Ussin is being detained by Gretna police on a murder charge after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, 35-year-old Traniel Gray, to death as she was walking in the street pushing a stroller with her 1-year-old son inside.

The boy was not injured and Ussin was captured nearby.

Police report Ussin is a "career criminal" with a long rap sheet. "He has an extensive criminal history. He has numerous arrests for narcotics, aggravated battery, a lot of violent crime," said Captain Russel of the Gretna Police Department.

This begs the question: Why isn't he a "Career Prisoner" instead?

FORT COLLINS, CO: Five suspects face over 100 charges in alleged organized crime investigation; Fugitive Brittany Orton still at large

Fort Collins, CO police have arrested five suspects who allegedly committed at least 15 serious crimes which occurred between December 2017 and May 2018 and affected more than 20 victims. The suspects face multiple counts under charges including assault, grand theft auto, drug possession, firearms charges and burglary.

Police are hunting for 22-year-old Brittany Orton, who is still at large and assumed to be armed and dangerous. Authorities request the public call 911 if they have contact with the fugitive.

Why didn't police keep her locked up after they took the mug shot?

BALTIMORE, MD:"Beloved" homeless man allegedly beaten to death by 19-year-old Dion Dixon

A neighborhood fixture of Baltimore, 67-year-old homeless man Randolph Cockrell, was allegedly beaten to death while he slept on the street earlier this week. Police have arrested 19-year-old Dion Dixon for the horrific crime.

According to police, Dixon beat his victim with fists and kicks to the head and body. He also assaulted Cockrell with a brick before dragging him down the street and leaving him to die.

"He's just an important part of this community right here and we're going to miss him very, very, very, very, very much," said a longtime friend of Cockrell's, who asked to remain anonymous out of fear for her own safety.

"The mentality of a 19-year-old, to be so young, to be so violent. It's scary," said another resident of the neighborhood.

Remember, the homeless are people too.

Trending Crime Alert: Sliders

Be aware of a crime increasing in occurrence nationwide called "Sliding." It happens most often at self-service gas pumps while the driver is out of the car.

A "Slider" pulls up next to the right side of the vehicle and checks for open doors on the passenger side. If a door is unlocked, or a window is not rolled up, the slider steals whatever is out in the open. Savvy sliders know to close the door without the driver hearing the latch click and they then quickly take off in the getaway vehicle.

Needless to say, any time you leave your vehicle unattended, even for just a moment, lock all doors and roll up all windows.
